The 2009-2010 season has ended with BCS Champion Alabama in the #1 spot. They join Boise State as the only teams to finish the season undefeated. As in the past, some teams that won their bowl games still finished ranked below the team they defeated. However, for the most part, teams that won their bowl games ended up ranked higher than the teams they beat. Looking through the rankings, 26 of the 34 winning teams are ranked higher than the team they defeated in their bowl game.
